Privacy Policy
1. About this policy
Fix Today Pty Ltd (ABN 68 695 770 739) of Adelaide, South Australia — "Fix Today", "we", "our" or "us" — handles personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access it, correct it or complain.
2. What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- Your suburb or postcode, and the address of the property your enquiry relates to.
- Details about your property and energy use that you choose to give us, such as whether you own the home, your roof type, and the approximate size of your power bill.
- The content of your enquiry and our correspondence with you.
- Technical information collected automatically when you visit this website: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the advertisement or link that brought you here.
We never ask for your bank account, credit card, credit score, income or other financial details through any online form. If you receive a message claiming to be from Fix Today asking for these through a form, it is not from us.
3. How we collect it
- Directly from you: the quote form on this website, a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, or by phone, email or SMS.
- Automatically: cookies and similar technologies when you use this website, as described in section 6.
- From third parties: from Meta when you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, and from our installation subcontractor where that is needed to complete work at your property.
4. Why we collect it
- To contact you about your enquiry and answer your questions.
- To assess whether your property is suitable and to prepare a written quote.
- To arrange and carry out an installation, including scheduling and site access.
- To meet our obligations under electrical safety, warranty and consumer law.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including understanding which advertisements lead to enquiries.
- To send you marketing about solar and batteries, where you have asked us to.
If you do not give us your contact details and the location of the property, we cannot prepare a quote for you.
5. Who we share it with
- Leyanfield Pty Co Ltd and other licensed, SAA-accredited installation subcontractors, so they can design, install and service your system.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram), where you submit an enquiry through a lead form on those platforms, and for advertising measurement as described in section 6.
- HighLevel Inc. (GoHighLevel), the customer relationship management software we use to receive, store and manage enquiries and to contact you.
- Hostinger, which hosts this website.
- Our professional advisers and insurers, and anyone else where the law requires or permits it.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Advertising, cookies, the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To understand which advertisements lead to genuine enquiries, we use the Meta Pixel on this website, and we may send enquiry and conversion information to Meta through the Meta Conversions API, including from our customer relationship management system.
That information may include your email address and phone number in hashed form, meaning they are scrambled before they are sent, along with information about the pages you viewed and whether you made an enquiry. Meta may match this against its own records so that it can report on our advertising and show advertisements to people with similar interests.
You can control how Meta uses your information through your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and you can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning cookies off may stop parts of this website working properly.
7. Information sent overseas
Meta Platforms, Inc. and HighLevel Inc. are based in the United States and store information on servers outside Australia. By giving us your information you acknowledge that it may be disclosed to, and stored by, these providers overseas.
8. Direct marketing and opting out
We only send marketing messages where you have asked us to receive them. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop at any time by emailing info@fixtoday.com.au or telling us on the phone. We will act on your request promptly. We may still contact you about a quote or a job you have specifically asked us about.
9. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as we need them for the purpose we collected them, and afterwards where we are required to keep them, for example for warranty, electrical safety, tax or consumer law reasons. When we no longer need the information, we destroy it or de-identify it.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes access controls on our systems and using established software providers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing info@fixtoday.com.au or calling 0479 041 982. We will respond within a reasonable period, and there is normally no charge.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first at info@fixtoday.com.au so that we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, by phone on 1300 363 992, or by writing to GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001.
